What is it about everything baby that is just…instantly cute! I had a big response to the baby bib gift set I posted earlier, so I decided to create a tutorial.
This project is PERFECT for a beginner sewist. The bib can easily be made with 2 fat quarters (for a reversible look), or just one if you don’t mind both sides matching. I prefer to use a flannel or terry cloth fabric for the back just to give it that soft feel and add some extra absorbency. I used a Cricut Quilting Kit for the fabric. I just love how all of their Riley Blake patterned fabrics go so well together.
If you haven’t upgraded to the Cricut Maker yet yet, don’t worry. You can make this with the Cricut Explore (or even a Silhouette). Simply follow along and cut the pattern pieces in cardstock, then use the cardstock as a pattern piece to cut your fabric by hand. Easy Peasy! Of course, I love using the Cricut Maker to cut all of my fabric pieces.
I’ve provided you with the free SVG file to use for your pattern. You can download it here. Be sure and turn off the word layers when you cut the file.
The bib is already sized for you, simply upload it into Cricut Design Space (or Silhouette Studio) and you’re ready to go.

Could. You please let me know how to get tot his file. I downloaded it, it made me open a new app – Dropbox. But now how to I get in to use in my cricut maker?
You can “Upload” it on a “New” project canvas, When it goes to the “Upload Image” on the Upload screen either “Drag and Drop” or “Browse” to where your downloaded file is. Click and name or rename your projects and then just follow the prompt and insert it into your project canvas. Once on the canvas do a Save As and give it a name for your projects.

Hi I was trying to download the svg for the bib and have been unsuccessful. I was trying to download drop box and was unable to find it in the Microsoft app store. Is there another way for me to download the bib svg? Can you please advise me as to how I can get it downloaded?
Hi there. I’m new to Cricuting and sewing and love, love, LOVE your video tutorials. I have a quick question about this project: you mentioned needing a Cricut Maker as opposed to the Explore to cut out the fabric (unless we want to cut it with scissors). Does the Explore not cut fabric? I was under the impression it does. I still haven’t taken mine out of the box and want to make sure I have exactly what I need before I start using it. Thanks, again, for your awesome tutorials!
You can cut fabric that has been bonded with the Explore. However I wouldn’t want to put binding on a baby Bibb

Is there a download to cut the pattern by hand? I’m in my travel trailer and can you believe it, I forgot my Cricut Maker this time. So all winter in Florida without it 🙁 Thank you
