How to make your own PJ Pants without a pattern – Easy Beginner Sewing Project

I have been making pj pants for the kids to match all of my EasyPress shirt creations.  It’s become quite comical, really.  They know when they go to Lolli’s they will have new pjs to wear and they have a lot of fun helping me pick out the fabric.

Ace is always a Dinosaur kinda guy!  He must have 6-7 pairs of different dino sets.  Evie, on the other hand, is more of a Minnie Girl.

I have made so many pairs of pjs, that I’ve got my own special method and a few cheater tricks that make it easier, for me, to whip up a pair in about 10 minutes form start to finish.

Don’t worry, you don’t need a pattern (we will make our own…psst.. I don’t even know how to read a real pattern).

Overwhelmingly, everytime I post a picture of one of my EasyPress shirt creations, paired with a matching set of pants – I get asked to create a tutorial for the pants…. so, without further ado… and keeping in mind that I am NOT A SEAMSTRESS.  This is a really easy, beginner sewist tutorial… and I came up with a technique that works for me.  There are probably a few dozen things technically wrong with my method, but you know my motto… “do what works for you”.

If you’re interested in this really easy, cheater method… here’s a step by step video tutorial for you.  I can’t wait to see your creations on Facebook and Instagram… you’re going to tag me, right?

Here’s the video:
