Decorative Ruffle Towel with Cricut and Heat n Bond

Welcome!  I’m so glad you’re here and I’m super excited about today’s project!

Today, we are mixing up some of my favorite things!  First off we are using this GORGEOUS fabric by Riley Blake!  It’s part of a quilt kit available from Cricut.

Aren’t they dreamy!  I LOVE THEM!

Next up we are using my oh, so favorite Cricut Maker, and finally Thermoweb Heat N Bond.

This is a really easy project.   All you need is a towel, fabric, HeatnBond Lite, your Cricut Maker and a sewing machine.  Don’t worry, I’ve got step-by-step instructions for you in the video tutorial below.

Are you ready to make one?  Simply change the fabrics and applique and I think these will be perfect decorations and gifts all year around!

Here’s the tutorial for you!

PJs with the Cricut Maker & Heat N Bond

CAT PJ!!!

It’s Sunday Funday!  I’m having all the feels for this oh so cute set of PJ’s I made for my cat loving granddaughter, Evie.

It is so easy to whip these up for any theme.  The Cricut Maker cut the fabric which I had fused with Heat N Bond Lite.  I just fused it onto a t-shirt with my Cricut Easy Press and  then stitched around the edges .

Cat PJs-3I used the same fabric to make some matching pj pants and ba-da-bing ba-da-boom… the Cat’s Meow PJs are finished!  The fabric (in case you have a kitty loving granddaughter in your family) is from Joann Fabrics.

Foil a T-shirt with your Cricut Maker, Cricut Easy Press and Deco Foil by Thermoweb!

OH, how I love a good sparkle!

I’m a girl… I think we are born with a “I love a good sparkle” gene.  It’s simply a part of who we are.  Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

 … and then there’s Evie

Evie has earned the name “Drama Queen” from her mommy.  Now, as Grandma (or Lolly, as they all me, I have to defend my sweet little angel grand-daughter.  Maybe, she really is a drama queen, but she’s cute!

I made her the perfect sprarkly shirt with Deco Foil, Adhesive Vinyl and some help from my Cricut Maker and Cricut Easy Press!  It’s really easy!

What would your child, grandchild’s shirt say?

I used the Cricut Maker & Heat N Bond to cut most of the flowers.  I just love how crisp and clean cut they are!

Flowers in different shapes, sizes and textures.  Swoon!  They make me happy!

Planner / Journal Pen Holder with Cricut Maker

Today, I have a really fun and super easy project for you!

Pretty fun, right?!!  These are super easy to put together and great for beginner sewists, like me!

The best part is, you can customize them to fit any planner and/or color preference.

You can see on this one I wanted to add a little color to my Heidi Swapp Gold Polka Dot planner, so I added Coral and Teal.  Dreamy!

I just love it!

How about this combo?  Florals are kinda my go to theme!

 Which is your favorite?

I would love to see what combinations you make!  I made a video for you, you knew I would!  I think these would be really fun to personalize with the Cricut Easy Press!

If you’re a Cricut Maker User, you can grab the Design Spacefile here and cut it out with your Maker.  Don’t have a Cricut Maker, no worries.  You can cut this pattern by hand!  It’s super easy.

File Folder Flip Book

FLAMINGO FLIP (2 of 14)

I created this file folder flip book (think mini scrapbook) from a plain ‘ole manilla file folder.  Of course I had to add a pretty pink flamingo because flamingos make everything better, right!

FLAMINGO FLIP (3 of 14)

A black and white stripe belly band adds a splash of unexpected contrast and holds everything in place.

There is so much real estate inside this little gem

FLAMINGO FLIP (6 of 14)

Open it up up and voila – more flips and flaps and fun little places to tuck ephemera, photos and journaling.

I love layers and layers of color, texture and “happy”

Another Flip and you’ll find a fun place to tuck a personal letter, photo or handwritten journaling.

One more turn and flip and there you have it.  A “FLIP BOOK”.  Try one!  They are a great way to use up all of that pretty stuff you’ve been hoarding! :0)

Reversible Headbands with the Cricut Maker and Heat n Bond Interfacing

headband1 copy

I am so excited about these fun reversible headbands I made for my sweet granddaughter, Evie.  Each one is fully reversible.  I created a SVG pattern and uploaded it to Cricut Design Space and cut the fabric with my Cricut Maker!  It makes it so easy!  Don’t have the Cricut Maker yet?  That’s ok, you can cut the pattern on paper and use that as a template to handcut your fabric.  Easy Peasy!

22104720_10155686005286870_5167159045443906355_o

Aren’t they adorable?!  Evie doesn’t seem to mind wearing them at all and they don’t leave any kind of mark on her pretty little head. 🙂 . I must admit, her mom steals them every once in awhile to add a little flair to her messy buns.

If you’d like the SVG, click on Evie’s photo and download it from my Drop Box.  I would love it if you make the headbands if you’d tag me on social media.  Pretty please?  I just love seeing what everyone is making!

Here is a step by step tutorial using your Cricut Maker, Cricut Design Space and then showing you how to assemble and sew.
