Makers Gonna Make – Sublimate an Apron

Hey there! I hope you. had an amazing weekend!

Today, we are talking about sublimation on an Apron.

I used this month’s Patreon Freebie to to liven up this super simple sublimation apron. I thought it made the perfect craftroom apron, or childs apron. I love how vibrant and fun the colors are using the Sawgrass SG500 Sublimation Printer.

I think this would be a really fun project for a classroom, or an artclass, or just to use as a promotional item. Wouldn’t they be fun for a bakery, or chili contest? How about a fish fry or pancake charity event. So fun!

In The Hoop Valentine Coasters – FREE Embroidery Designs!

Valentines Day is right around the corner. I cannot even believe I just said that! I don’t do a lot of decorating or a lot of Valentine crafting, but I wanted to make a little something to make it feel like Valentines.

These are so quick and so easy to make! I am just learning to digitize with the Chroma Luxe Software. I was excited to be able to create four simple designs with very little effort. I will be sharing more digitizing tutorials soon.

I love how simply changing the fabric from cork to vinyl and changing the thread colors make each set unique. This set of coasters could really be used any time of the year. They are very affordable to make, easy to store and let’s face it, you can just toss them and make a new set if they get overly used.

I have included several formats of embroidery patterns for you to make a set or two of your own. I would love it if you make them and tag me on social media. It’s always fun to see others making something I created and I enjoy seeing how each of you make it your own. You can get the FREE DOWNLOAD here.

As for assembly instructions, I will walk you through the steps on my Ricoma EM1010 Multi-needle machine, but if you have a single needle, don’t worry because the steps are exactly the same. Let’s get started.

Parkside Tote – Collaboration with OklaRoots

I have been so excited to release the Parkside Tote Bag.  OklaRoots and I collaborated on this super fun, super practical tote bag.

We are both bag makers.  She is also a quilter – I want to be a quilter.  Neither of us have the time to commit to a full size quilt everytime we want to quilt, so we decided to combine our two loves and voila… the Parkside Tote was built.

Jess over at OklaRoots designed the quilt block just for you.  It is perfectly sized and pieced together to fit within the construction of this tote.  You can visit her blog and Youtube to find out how to make the quilt portion of the bag, pick up the PDF templates and she’s even got SVGs for all of you digital die cutting makers.

Cricut Bunny Eggs / Cutting Felt with the Cricut

Good morning and welcome to another Cricut project.  Today, we are using our Cricut to cut felt to create these adorable Easter Egg Bunnies.  Aren’t they the cutest?

I mean c’mon, what’s cuter than 3 little bunny bums?

They are made from Dollar Tree Plastic Eggs.  I filled them with candy.  You can open and close them without disturbing the bunny, which means you can use them as part of your Easter Decor or for baskets year after year.

I created all of the patterns for the felt pieceings in Cricut Design Space.  You can find a link to the file in the video description.

NEW – Cricut Bowl Koozies!

Hello there!  It’s been awhile.  I hope you enjoyed the holidays with friends and family.  I sure did!  We have been non-stop since Thanksgiving.  I took a little break in December so that I could enjoy some family time.

Today, however, I had to get back to Cricuting.  I have two new, fun patterns for you to try!

The Scallop and Round Bowl Koozie / Cozy (which do you say?)

They are made very much like my original bowl koozie, but the one on the left has a round edge and the one on the right has a scallop edge.

Here is a step by step tutorial for you and don’t forget to grab the free Design Space Files here:  SCALLOP KOOZIE and ROUND KOOZIE.  If you don’t have a Cricut Maker, but you have an Explore, go ahead and cut out the patterns in cardstock and then just use that at a pattern to hand cut the fabric.

 

Round Make Up Bag with The Cricut

Hello and thanks for stopping by!  Today, I have a new make up pouch tutorial for you.  We have all seen this style of make up bag, but did you know how EASY they are to make on your own?

I even added a vinyl lining which makes it easy to wipe up any spills or powders that can get inside a make up pouch.  It’s not just me that is messy, right?

Or leave the vinyl out, like the one above and use it for your jewelry when traveling or your child’s legos… there’s never a shortage of uses for a pouch!

If you don’t have a Maker, yet, never fear because I have a work around for you.  I bet you have a dinner plate and that will work just fine, too!

You can whip these up in time for Christmas gift giving!  They take very little supplies and picking the fabrics is half the fun!

Planner / Journal Pen Holder with Cricut Maker

Today, I have a really fun and super easy project for you!

Pretty fun, right?!!  These are super easy to put together and great for beginner sewists, like me!

The best part is, you can customize them to fit any planner and/or color preference.

You can see on this one I wanted to add a little color to my Heidi Swapp Gold Polka Dot planner, so I added Coral and Teal.  Dreamy!

I just love it!

How about this combo?  Florals are kinda my go to theme!

If you’re a Cricut Maker User, you can grab the Design Spacefile here and cut it out with your Maker.  Don’t have a Cricut Maker, no worries.  You can cut this pattern by hand!  It’s super easy.
