How to Iron On HTV on Wood with the Cricut EasyPress 2

Hello!  Happy Saturday!  Speaking of Saturday… next weekend I am headed to a wedding reception for a married young couple.  I wanted to give them a little bit of handmade fun to help celebrate the occassion.  I came up with this wood themed set.

I used the Cricut EasyPress 2 to add all of the personalization!  It looks like its engraved or wood burned, but it’s not!

I thought about the fact that soon they would be celebrating their “First Christmas as Mr. and Mrs” and thought they needed a keepsake…. and besides, it matches!  WOOD PRESS-1-4

The EasyPress 2 makes it so easy to customize all of your handmade goodies (and we won’t tell if you personalize store bought items, too! ) 🙂

WOOD PRESS-1-3

These gifts are “made with love” and I can’t wait to share them with the Bride and Groom.

You know, I had to make a tutorial to go along with this!  I think this is a really fun and really inexpensive gift idea and with the holidays around the corner, you just might want to grab some wood slices and create your own!

Here’s the video tutorial!

How to Create Cut Files from Drawings

Did you know you can use your very own handmade drawings to create cut files you can cut with your Cricut?

I draw this “shop girl” on my Ipad and changed her into a cut file which I was then able to cut out in Cricut Iron On.  I used my EasyPress to make this adorable one of a kind tote bag!  Fun, huh!

I did the same thing with this little cutie patootie!  She will look so cute on Evie’s PJ set.

You don’t need to know how to draw, really.  I found an image online and used that for inspiration to redraw and create this one.

This little lady I did draw freehand, and let me just say… I can’t draw, but the app makes it possible to draw, erase, draw it again…. erase it again… and so on.  Believe me, I did plenty of both!

How fun would it be to have your kids create a drawing, import it into Cricut Design Space, and then iron the design onto a cute tote bag for grandma?  I would love to receive a gift like that.  Wouldn’t your kids think it awesome to sport a shirt with their very own creation?

So, are you ready for a tutorial?  I cannot wait to see what you make!

Cricut Fusible Fabric!

Cricut Fusible-1

Hey there!  Have you heard the great news?  Cricut now has FUSIBLE FABRIC!  What is fusible fabric?  Well it’s cotton fabric that already has a fusible product on the back so that with the use of an iron or the Cricut EasyPress you can make your very own fabric applique projects!

Cricut Fusible-5

I wanted to make a little Cricut care package for a friend, so I cut out a Cricut “C” with my Cricut Maker and applied it with the EasyPress.  It was so easy and so fast to make this adorable miniature tote bag!

Hint… you can find this Cricut Logo in the Cricut Library.. just search “Cricut”.

Cricut Fusible-2

There are tons of varieties of colors.  Each roll of Fusible Fabric comes with four different designs.  Here are some of the choices available:

Embroidery Hoop with HeatnBond EZ Print Sheets

Hey there!  I am back with another project featuring HeatnBond EZ Print Sheets by Thermoweb!

Evie Hoop-1

This project came together so easily with just a little bit of fabric (I used fabrics by Windham Fabrics), an embroidery hoop, felt and some HeatnBond EZ Print Sheets.

Evie Hoop-34

I cannot wait to see this hanging in Evie’s room!  I love that you can personalize with colors to fit any room!

Evie Hoop-36

I am not an embroider-er (is that right?), but adding a few simple stitches added a little detail to the project.
