I have been playing with some of my sublimation blanks from the JP Plus Trend Boxes.
This cute enamel mug was screaming for something crafty! I love this super cute design by A Girl and a Glue Gun. She has so many cute SVGs on her website. Be sure and check them out. They are one-of-a-kind hand-drawn images. I love them so much!
Let’s get back to this cute pink mug. You can find it here (use coupon code 9PSR5 and save 15%). I think this is my new favorite for my morning coffee with Peppermint Stick creamer.
I used my sublimation printer and my mug press to put the image on the mug. This method of transfer is 100% dishwasher save and will last the life of the mug. Pretty neat!
I made a quick tutorial for you to show you how you can create this crafty mug.
OK, this might just be my favorite project so far. You guys! This is so fun! Did you know that Cricut Infusible Ink is basically the same as Sublimation? It is. While Infusbile Ink comes in the form of a paper-like transfer sheet and sublimation ink is a liquid, they both transfer by heating the ink up to a gaseous stage that can than be infused into a substrate. Well that gave me an idea. Let’s try to make a sequin pillow using a sublimation blank and Cricut Infusible Ink. It worked!
I used Cricut Infusible Ink and an image from a Girl and A Glue Gun to create this glittery beauty! It was so easy!
Of course, I had to make more pillows for the kids using my sublimation printer.
sorry, the photos aren’t great. I forgot to take them when I made them so I had to make do with some phone pics.
so, are you ready to crank out some sequin pillows for the holidays? I’ve got two tutorials for you. One features Infusible Ink and the other is using a sublimation printer.
If you follow me on social media, you know that my latest obession has been sublimation printing.
You may have seen me post a few of my projects, like this Mouse Pad,
Or these adorable onsies,
Or perhaps you saw the coasters I made for my son and his wife.
Maybe you saw these fun mugs
or a T-Shirt or two:
I even made a wine gift bag set. Pretty cute, eh?
So, what is all this sublimation stuff, anyway? Well, in the most simple of terms, it’s a form of printing onto a substrate such as a mug, tshirt, mousepad, etc. that forms a permanent bond. These prints are dishwasher safe, washer/dryer safe, etc. They will last as long as the item they are pressed on lasts. They won’t crack, or fade and they won’t peel or scratch off. In fact, you can’t even feel the designs. Pretty neat, don’t you think?
I think I have all of my stocking stuffers ready for December! Everyone is gettng coaster sets, mousepads and mugs! :). These quick little projects are so fun to make and personalize.
