How to Make a Quilt Block Trivet – OklaRoots Block Party Block #2

It is time for Block #2 of the OklaRoots Block Party.  You may recall that last month, Jess from OklaRoots and I started a Block of the Month party.  Jess is actually hosting the Block Party for all of the quilters.  She also used her amazing talents to create each and every quilt block pattern.  So, where do I fit in?  I am providing quick and easy alternative projects that utilize a single quilt block.  I am not a quilter, but I enjoy the process.  I wanted to give like-minded crafters a way to participate in a Block of the Month party, without the commitment of a an entire quilt.

This month, we are making a very simple trivet/hot pad from Jess’s beautiful design.  I actually used my Cricut Maker to cut all of the quilt pieces (she has a SVG cut file for you).  If you don’t have a Cricut Maker, don’t worry, she’s got you covered.  Be sure and check out OklaRoots blog for all of the downloads and instructions.

By the way, this cute fabric is on CLEARANCE at Cricut (while supplies last).  You can find it by clicking here.

Are you ready for the step by step tutorial?  If you’re already a quilter, you’ve got this covered, but if you’re just a tip toe quilter, like me, I’ve got you covered.
