It I can’t cut them, when will you have more? I am happy to pay for it.
I use a laser cutter
What setting did you use to cut the 1/8 acrylic sheet?
I did not cut it with the cricut
Hi, my name is Kara and wanted to tell you that I loved how easy and simple you explain how to make a face mask. I am trying to make a bunch for my congregation and my local hospital and you had mentioned that you might have some acrylic templates that you would be willing to donate. If you have any and I give you some money would you mind sending me a set? Also, what material did you use for the filter part? Thanks so much.
Unfortunately I am out of stock and out of material to make more. Please check back in a few days
I would love a template and what do I do to get one for adults m/lg and child. Also what do you use for the filter?
I am out of templates. As far as filters I’m not recommending anything at this time as I don’t feel that I have enough information to make that call
I have been waiting for the availability of maks templates,,wood or acrylic .. I
have now been living in an assisted living home .Everyone is requested/required to wear masks. i want to make masks for the caregivers as well as for the residents. We are elderly and no one can really just go out anad do some shopping. Someone brought in the virus . We were in total lockdown for weeks . We wer wearing pleated paper face masks, which do last long at all. I have plenty of fabraic as I sewed for a hobby. Now i can use them for masks, at least 2 per person if my fabaric supply has enough.
When ddo you think you will have those templates available again. I will for them ahead of time , so I can start sewwing the masks.
Would you have 5 face mask? I am unable to find written instructions as well unable to print this off. I have elderly grandparents and mom and dad who are with heart and diabetes issues. They live on very tight budget and so many people are charging $17 each. We do not have that extra money.
Thank you
I don’t sell masks. I have seen several for sale in Etsy for $5-8
I just used heavy cardstock. Outlined it with a sharpie and cut with a rotary blade.
I’m unable to print this pattern 😩
I’m sorry. Plenty of people have printed it. I’m not sure what the problem could be
I can’t print it either. Is there some other way to get it?
Click download. Click the printer icon, click
The share button, click print
Click on the print button on the screen when it opens, it will open another window and print from there- don’t try to print from the header in the webpage
Do you have a pdf available for kids size masks?
I do. It’s in my shop under free downloads
I would like to make some acrylic patterns to distribute freely to those making masks . I am a former firefighter current tool maker

What kind of fabric do you recommend for making a mask?
Cotton
Hi Lorrie, wondering if the acrylic templates will be available for purchase soon. I have been sewing for 3 different hospitals, some of which are asking for the filter ones. The templates would make my production for them so much more timely! These look so much more comfortable for those working extreme hours as well. So needed! Take care;
Molly
I hope to have more acrylic to make more by the end of the week.
are you really charging for your pattern?
No. The pdf pattern is absolutely free
How about the pattern for the filter. I’m an RN? Please and thank you!
It’s in my
Shop under free downloads
Thank you, what is used for the filter?
I am not giving advice on filter materials as I am not qualified to do so. There is tons of Information available with a little bit of research. I just don’t feel comfortable giving that advise.
How can I get pattern? I need pattern and written instructions please.

Your YouTube tutorial is explained so well. I’m making mask for our local nursing home. Do you have anymore of your templates? If so how do I get them? Thank you!
I am ready to make your face mask after viewing it on u tube. I wanted a pattern where you could remove the protective insert enabling you to wash it for more than one time use. Thanks so much for shar your pattern
Thank you so much for the 1″ square for scale on the pdf, i was concerned i couldn’t be able to use it without printing it, but i was able to trace it perfectly from my computer screen!
Thank you from a healthcare worker!
This was my first time sewing in 30 years. Thank you for making this template and instructional video that was so easy to follow.
I came across your youtube video and had to come check out your site. I was not a seamstress prior to three weeks ago, but these masks have turned me into one. So I will be back to check out your other patterns for sure. I want a grab and go wristlet that has my car key fob, space for my phone and a few cards. So I will be back. I am not a cricut user… but a silhouette so I hope you welcome this interloper!
Thank you for sharing. Arin
Everyone is welcome. I used to be a silhouette girl😉
Hi,
Thank you for your help in helping us make these masks for those in need. My daughter is a medical assistant and of course still working along with about 16 other nurses and doctors. She just recently asked me to make masks for their staff. So I’m ready to get to work. I watched your video, loved it…..but unless I missed it….what seam allowance are you sewing with…1/4″ 3/8″ or 5/8″, I don’t have a serger. Sorry if this is dumb question.
As shown in the video I use 1/4” on the entire mask
I will be making masks for myself and my high risk husband, and also local fire fighters. I will be modifying your pattern so pocket opening is at the center for inserting the filter. I think it might be a little easier to insert at the center due to the center being wider than the edges, and I’m not sure if the filtering material I ordered is a little thicker/stiff. Thank you for your video tutorial and pattern.
Thank you so much for providing this information. I am a novice when it comes to sewing and this helps me tremendously!
Hi Lorrie!
Thanks so much for making your pattern and video available on line. I have not sewed in many many years, so there was lots of pricked fingers, giggling and swearing in the sewing process…but….I relearned the intricacies of my (non serving) sewing machine (like how to thread it! and that I need a magnifying glass now to thread the needle)….but I made a beautiful mask and it’s much admired. I now have ‘orders’ to make more for family and friends. I love to see my leftover cotton scraps going to a good use! And the steps you lay out make it very easy. I saw someone added to the edges for a larger man…and am excited to see that you have now given access to a child. MANY MANY THANKS!!
Hi, Lorrie (and anyone else who can answer). What type of fabrics do you recommend using for this project and what is the recommendation for the filter fabric? Thank you!
100% cotton
Lorrie, this pattern is perfect. I’ve been cutting the material with scissors and am anxiously waiting for the templates. Do you have an update on template availability?
Thanks for sharing this pattern!!
Hi Lorrie,
Is the printout of the pdf the exact size to cut out as is or does it need to be scaled? This is a great Pattern after watching your video. I have several family members who need these ASAP. I do appreciate your connection to this needed product. Thanks.
Donna Sturdevant
The pattern should be printed at 100 percent
Lorri,
I just wanted to let you know that as a nurse married to a physician-your pattern for masks is the BEST!!
I have made MANY and the tutorial was excellent. I used HEPA certified (0.3 micron) vacuum cleaner bags for filters to put in the pocket that I cut/fitted using Pattern B and they are really FANTASTIC!
I made them for my husband’s office, his partners, the hospital, colleagues and they are so happy with the fit and the ties, rather than the pleated masks with the elastic ear loops that some are using.
Thank YOU!!
Thanks for sharing your pattern in PDF. I had no problem printing it out. I’m waiting for elastic to be delivered to me as I had to order some online as our stores are sold out. My husband and I are 70 and a little over 70 so having the filter will be beneficial for us. So happy you have shared this with so many.
I’m currently sewing masks for my husband’s emergency room here in New Jersey. It would make things so much faster with the acrylic template. Are they available for purchase?
I am out of stock
Hi Disregard. I figured out the printing issue. You have to use the print icon on the document, not from your computer. It works. Thank you so much
Any chance we could get measurements for pattern for those of us that cant print? I opened template and saw some type of measurements at top of page, but its not clear. Any help with this would be appreciated.
I assume you’re trying to print from a phone or iPad – Click download, click the printer icon, click the share button, click print
What type of material is used here? All cotton?
Yes 100% cotton
Hi Lorrie,
These masks are awesome! Thanks for the great tips and the easy to follow pattern. What size are the seam allowances you used?
1/4”
Thank you for the Pdf file. Now being a person with MS my memory is not so good.
Where cab I find a printed version of your mask. I would like to make them for My MS friends.
Thank You.

Hello….Do I pay for this pattern? If so, when I click on pay it now it doesn’t do anything. If it is free, when I try to print off the pattern only blank paper comes out?
Thanks
It’s free. Click above the PayPal button where the download is listed
Very generous of you to donate your time, talent and resources! I would also like a set of the acrylic patterns when and if you are able to produce them.
I am one of the lucky few to still have elastic. I am not much of a seamstress, and would like to know if anyone else has substituted the cloth ties for elastic. If so, how did it work? Any hints or tips I should know?
thank you for making the pattern available I have made many of them and they go together very easy.
Would you happen to have the template? My daughters are wanting to give back to our community.
Thank you, thank you for this pattern. These masks are a joy to make.
Do you have guidance in modifiying this pattern to create a casing or channel on the outside so a loop of elastic could be knotted then pulled up into that casing (therefore adjustable). The ties work great, however, older adults can more easily manage elastic ear pieces. I hesitate to sew them in because of sizing.
You have been so generous to share your pattern – many will benefit from your work.
Just extend the straight edge and fold over to make the casing
What are you using as the “lining” between the outer layer of cotton and the inner filter pocket? I’m not asking about the filter, just what material you are using for your lining.
The entire mask is made of 100% cotton
I found the pdf file on the adult mask but I was unable to print the template , Could you please tell me what size is the material used for the mask ?
I assume you’re printing from a device such as a phone or iPad. Click download. Click the printer icon in the upper right, click the share button on the bottom center, click print.
Hi Lorrie
Just wondering if you got the face mask acrylic templates back in stock?
I would like to get a set.
I am out of material to make more. I am not sure i will make any more. I simply can’t keep up with the demand
Lorrie, do you have any of the templates back in stock? Love your design and your video’s makes it simplified. I want to be able to jump in right away. I’m a seamstress, so I have some stock on hand. I’ve been working up until last Tuesday and then got laid off for 90 days. I work for a provider providing hospital beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment. My medical equipment is on back order from China. I’m thankful I have a serger to save me some time on making these masks. Now that people know I’m back to sewing they’ve been putting in their requests. There’s also a military base here and the people that live on base said they can’t come out unless they have a mask! I think the hard part is going to be trying to get their colors of fabric. I bought a sheet the other night. I’m hoping the color will work. Just letting you know that I’ve subscribed to your channel and rang the bell for any new videos. I like your great explanations! Stay safe and keep the faith!
I Will not be making more templates at this time. As fast as I make them they are gone. I do have a video showing you how to make your own from other products such as chipboard
Thank you for posting this. Looking at the face mask Part A pattern which curve is the nose? The two curves are different the one on the left is sharper than the one on the right. I can’t tell which one is intended to be up and didn’t see that information was marked on the pattern. I was good making solid color masks but some one gave me some patterned material where I need to orient the fabric.
The pattern was hand drawn so it’s prob not exactly symmetrical but it’s close enough that it works either way
I am fortunate to have a bunch of elastic. What length are you using for the child mask? Thanks so much!
I make elastic 6” for child size masks
Hi, there. Thank you for this beautiful pattern. I just print it out and am wondering about the seam allowance. Is it included or do I need to add one? Thanks again.
1/4” seam allowance is Included
Thank you for the beautiful pattern and video. My family and friends are loving their face masks and this is by for the best pattern!
Should I add an extra 1/4 inch to the template before cutting or is the 1/4 inch seam allowance included as part of the template?
No the 1/4” seam allowance is included
Do I understand it right that the template has to be made made including the seam allowance ? Asking from Holland, very happy with the pattern !
The pattern includes the 1/4” seam allowance
These are great and fun to make. I am wondering what length elastic to use on the various sizes? Thankyou
I use 7-8” on the adult sizes and 5.5-6 on children’s. It really depends on the individual. I make my son and daughter the adult soSe but one needs 7” and the other needs 6”
