Luggage tag-4

I have found so many fun materials to use, like this Cricut Faux Leather, or this

yummy pink glitter faux leather.  I mean does it really even get any better than pink glitter?

Luggage tag-6

This one was made with my friend, Teri, in my mind.  Leopard is her family tartan.  She swears it’s true! 😉 . I found this print in the ribbon section at Hobby Lobby.

This one is probaby my favorite! It’s so stinking cute!  It’s more shiny and bright than the others.

Clear Vinyl Bags! So Fun!!

vinyl-pouch.png

You guys!  I have been laying in bed at night dreaming of vinyl bags!  I am having so much fun working with this clear vinyl.  I have an entire series coming up with lots of fun ideas and ways to use it.

Clear Vinyl Bags

Today, we are going to start with this very basic simple pouch.  I think it is super cute and I can think of a million uses.

I used the Cricut to add a bit of fun personalization and I think it takes the cuteness factor over the top!

Canvas & Faux Leather Tote Bag

canvas leather tote bag-1

Many of you have messaged me and asked for projects that utilize faux leather.  Today, I give you the leather/canvas drop cloth tote bag.

canvas leather tote bag-5

Yes, we are using more of that canvas drop cloth that we used in Pillow Covers, the Shabby Fabric  Basket , and the Canvas Zipper Pouch.  We are getting a lot of mileage out of a simple paint drop cloth.

Tissue Pouch-2

I made both versions of this bag with Cricut Designer Fabric.  They have an amazing bundle right now that will really add to your fabric stash.  Both of the totes above were made from the fabric bundle.  They are currently phasing out fabric, so once this bundle is gone, it’s gone for good.  It’s a $129.90 value, on sale for only $39.99.  Psst… if you’re a Cricut Access Member you’ll save 10% off that price and use my code MAKERS10 and you will save ANOTHER 10%.  That is a whole lot of fabric at a very affordable price.

Tissue Pouch-3

This black and metallic rose gold is really striking in person.  Even if you don’t use a Cricut, this fabric is a great deal.  I didn’t use the Cricut for this project, but I still used the fabric.

Are you ready to make your own canvas and leather tote bag?  I’ve got you covered with a video that includes step by step instructions!

Cricut Bunny Eggs / Cutting Felt with the Cricut

bunny edgg-17

Good morning and welcome to another Cricut project.  Today, we are using our Cricut to cut felt to create these adorable Easter Egg Bunnies.  Aren’t they the cutest?

bunny edgg-19

I mean c’mon, what’s cuter than 3 little bunny bums?

bunny edgg-12

They are made from Dollar Tree Plastic Eggs.  I filled them with candy.  You can open and close them without disturbing the bunny, which means you can use them as part of your Easter Decor or for baskets year after year.

I created all of the patterns for the felt pieceings in Cricut Design Space.  You can find a link to the file in the video description.

How to Make an Evelope Pillow Cover (From a DROP CLOTH!) – Rae Dunn Inspired

Rae Dunn Pillow-1

If you have followed me for very long, you know that I love to use things (like placemats) in ways that you might not think about.  I have long been a user of canvas drop cloths!  I’ve made tote bags, pouches, wall hangings and so much more from them.  They are super inexpensive and 1 drop cloth is enough for dozens of projects! (Stay tuned for more in the near future!

Rae Dunn Pillow-1-2

Don’t mind Brinkley’s “thrilled face”.  No animals were hurt or abused during the filiming of this video.  After 30 minutes of trying to get her to pose for a photo, unsuccessfully, I might add, she curled up in her bed and practically begged me to try again!  Dogs, gotta love them.

Today, I combined my love of beginner friendly sewing projects, the drop cloth and my love for all things Cricut Maker and Cricut EasyPress to create this super fun and trendy Rae Dunn Inspired Pillow Cover.

Here’s the step by step video tutorial for you!

Mini Tote Bag with/or without the Cricut

minitote-4

A while ago, I posted a miniature tote bag I made for someone for Christmas.  I have been asked over and over to post the directions for this mini tote.  Today, I made the tutorial and just to change it up a little I made 3 different sizes.

minitote-3-2

and used 3 different patterns

I wanted to show how versatile a simple basic tote bag pattern can be.  Simply change the size, add a pocket, add a keychain, a bow or some pompoms and it looks like a totally different project.

I used the Cricut Maker to cut my fabric, but you can absolutely cut it by hand.  I give you the step by step instructions as well as all of the measurements in the video tutorial below.

Which one is your favorite?

Toiletry Travel Kit with Cricut

I am excited to say I am going on a “girls’ trip” soon!  I thought it was time to add a little cuteness factor to my travel bag.  I used Cricut Premium Vinyl and my Cricut Maker to make this fun little bag.

4

You can absolutely use the Cricut Explore to make this as well.  I started with a blank toiletry kit like this one and used my Design Space File.   This is a great beginner project for every Cricut user.
